Join the organization that has been active in conservation and environmental issues in the Fox Valley area since 1966. As a member, you’ll receive informative publications, fellowship in the Kane County chapter, participation in field trips and programs, timely information on conservation issues, and chapter newsletters. Kane County Audubon’s $10 annual dues are used to pay for operational costs for meetings and special events. We also help fund local environmental projects.
Members are required to join the state organization, Illinois Audubon Society, which is not affiliated with the National Audubon Society. (In fact, the national organization was founded several years after IAS.) Illinois Audubon supports a variety of environmental and conservation projects and maintains many wildlife sanctuaries throughout the state. Illinois Audubon Society members receive a quarterly newsletter and the Illinois Audubon magazine to keep them apprised of news and activities.
Yearly membership dues are as follows:
Friend $35
Friend Plus $40
Steward $60-$109
Guardian $110-$509
Advocate $510-$1,000
Benefactor $1,000
Legacy $5,000
These dues include membership in both Illinois Audubon Society and Kane County Audubon.
